Sevin Ataei

Soprano

Sevin has been a member of the Iranian Choir of America since January 2017. She has a Doctorate degree in Pharmacy from Tehran University, a master’s degree in Public Health from UCLA, and she works as a pharmacist.

She is the co-founder of Persian Story time program at International Society of Children with Cancer (ISCC), Heritage Park Library, and University Park Library. She is also an active member of Baharkids, a nonprofit organization for early childhood Persian Art & Culture education.

Art has been her passion through her life. The love of singing got cultivated in her since childhood but she didn’t officially pursue it until 2004 when she started to

Faramarz Rashidi

Tenor

He started playing piano at the age of 8 and sang in several choirs since 17. A great passion for music made it an inseparable part of his life. He studied Chemical Engineering and worked for several engineering firms, but also pursued music as a career. He has been teaching piano for several years, and conducted choral music as well. His teachers were noted musicians and conductors such as Pooyan Azadeh, Keyvan Mirhadi, Serjik Mirzaian, and Milad Omranloo. He conducted Farhangsara’e Sarv choir and Fravahar choir of Tehran for 5 years, and performed with them in several music festivals such as Fajr international music festival. His main motivation to join the Iranian Choir of America is to promote classical music, particularly choral music, in the Persian community of Southern California 

Saeed Sabeti

Bass

Saeed has a Master’s degree in finance from Tehran University. He is the founder and president of Sabeti Insurance. He plays classical guitar for over 20 years. Saeed’s favorite sport is hiking.

Sharareh Kowsari

Soprano

Sharareh is a polymer engineer. She moved to the US in 2013 and she has been a member of the Iranian Choir of America since 2015. Despite her busy life, she has a passion to become an opera singer one day, and she never gives up.

Neda S Pelar

Alto

Neda started singing with the University of Brasília choir group while studying and living in Brazil. As a nature lover and outdoor enthusiast, she enjoys hiking, biking and camping. Neda joined the Iranian American Choir Group about two years ago to fulfill her passion and keep classical music culture active within the Iranian American community. Professionally, Neda is a cancer researcher and adjunct professor.

Parham SadriZadeh

Tenor

Parham is a Principal Cyber Security Engineer at UCI. He has double master’s degree from Towson University in Cyber Security and Information technology.

He has been playing guitar since 2006 and singing since 2010.

He also enjoys playing soccer, going to the beach, hanging out with his friends and traveling.
